IceWorks Skating Complex opened its doors in October of 1997 with two surfaces, one NHL sized rink and one Olympic sized rink. In 2001, IceWorks opened 2 more NHL sized surfaces to make IceWorks a state of the art four surface facility which includes a restaurant, Pub and Grill, pro shop, arcade, Phillystitich.com embroidery and apparel, hockey and figure skating training rooms, birthday party rooms and banquet rooms plus much more.
Currently, IceWorks is home to over 180 hockey teams at various levels including College, Juniors, Youth, elementary and middle school, high school, and adult leagues. IceWorks is also the home of the IceWorks Skating Club which boasts over 400 members that skate and compete at various levels.
Many prestigious events have been held at IceWorks, such as USA Curling Nationals, US Speed Skating Nationals, USA Collegiate Roller Hockey Nationals, US Figure Skating Eastern Sectional Championships, US Figure Skating South Atlantic Regional Championships, and Philadelphia Summer Championships and International Competition.
We are dedicated to the ice sports and the development of youth hockey and figure skating through our grassroots programs. IceWorks is lucky to have such professional hockey coaches as Jim Watson, Philadelphia Flyer Hall of Fame Inductee and General Manager Stephane Charbonneau. Many National, International and Olympic competitors train under the tutelage of our many World and Olympic figure skating staff members.
IceWorks is very community oriented and is proud to serve Aston Township and the surrounding areas with a fun, family friendly facility.
