2018 Community Day Organizational Meetings

Dear Community Member:

Community Day will be held on October 6, 2018 from 10:30 AM – 3:00 PM at the Aston Community Center. (RAIN DATE Sunday OCTOBER 13, 2018 from 10:30 AM – 3:00 PM.)

Community Day was started as a means of bringing the community together. Over the years the event has grown larger and larger. By putting the Business Expo together with Community Day, along with a parade, it has given our residents, organizations and our businesses an exciting way to connect with one another in one place. There will be games, music, food, rides and much more.

With your help we can make this a great event. The day will begin with a parade starting at Neumann University (Neumann Drive) at 9:30 AM and conclude at the Community Center immediately followed by the Business Expo and Community Activities. We are asking all community businesses and organizations to help make this a wonderful event that will bring our community together and convey an awareness of the many business and organization opportunities in Aston. We would like to have the residents of Aston reconnect with one another with a day of food, rides, activities, contests and a lot of fun.

On September 11, 2001, our country experienced a great tragedy. The community of Aston may not have been directly affected; however, the entire community felt its impact. As business owners and residents of this community, we felt compelled to remember and commemorate those events and also find a way to acknowledge and honor our own local emergency response teams. Proceeds from the outing are donated to The Aston Township Fire Company and the Aston Police Department.

Thank you to Sun East Federal Credit Union for hosting a fantastic event for the ABA last night in their Aston Branch. The facility was beautiful, the Sun East staff was warm and welcoming. We had a very nice turnout and everybody left with bag full of Sun East swag!

Neumann Job Fair

Attention members. Neumann University will be hosting a job fair for student workers this Thursday August 31st, 2017 from 3pm – 5pm in the Mirenda Center Bayada Atrium. Any member with available job opportunities for Neumann Students are encouraged to attend the event and contact the event coordinator, Coleen Nedbalski at 610-358-4587 or NEDBALSC@neumann.edu to make arrangements for student employee placements.

16th Annual Golf Outing – Save the date

In commemoration of the tragic events of September 11, 2001, Aston Business Association is sponsoring the sixteenth Annual 9-11 Golf Tournament. The proceeds will be donated to the Aston Fire Police, the Aston Township Fire Department and the Aston Police Department. The Golf Tournament will be held on Monday, September 25, 2017 at Downingtown Country Club. Registration starts at 11:00am and lunch will be available from 11:00am until 12:00pm. The shotgun scramble will begin at 12:00pm. Barbecue Dinner will be served upon completion.

We are seeking participation from our local businesses in support of the outing. Please contribute by joining us for a great day of golf and fun! Attached you will find the application for golf as well as sponsorship and donation opportunities.
