The Annual A.B.A. Golf Outing has become one of the most anticipated events of the year for local business owners and golf enthusiasts. The Dine and Buy in Aston Program gives local eateries a chance to collectively donate to a good cause while benefiting from additional advertising. This program was started in 2009 (formerly Dine Out) as a way to raise funds for some of the many local organizations that call on the business community for help throughout the year. Typically held on a Thursday night, restaurants who choose to participate will donate a portion of their proceeds to the night out fund. In exchange they get some free publicity on the Townships Cable TV Channel and Website

The harsh reality is that not all the residents of Aston can afford to keep food on the table year round. These people are our customers, friends, employees, and most of all our neighbors. In an effort to help those who have fallen on hard times the Neighbors Helping Neighbors food bank was set up.  Housed at The Community Center, and ramping up efforts during the holiday season, this program has been a great success and has helped many Aston residents. Sun Valley Mock Interviews : Evan Jackson

Sun Valley Mock Interviews

Evan Jackson

Once a year the members lend a hand to the outgoing senior class of Sun Valley. One of the final projects these seniors must complete is a resume and then an interview with a member of the business community during the Sun Valley Mock Interviews.  The association works hard to pair the interests of the students with the area of expertise of the member. After the interview, members are asked to provide valuable feedback to the student along with filling out a form that is submitted and reviewed during the grading of the project.

Each year members of the Association get together and celebrate the previous year’s  accomplishments. During this event the board and directors of the Association are honored along with the naming of the Annual Business Person of the Year. The meal and celebration typically yields one of the highest attendance rates for events all year.
